Balmain in my opinion is one of the most amazing designers of our eara and his new spring/summer 2013 collection is over overflood with amazing details any fashionista can dream of. The French fashion house Balmain was founded by Pierre Balmain in 1945 and was one of the driving forces in reestablishing lavish couture after the Second World War. The house was known for its luxurious and classic designs, and outfitted the likes of Sophia Loren, Ava Gardner, Katharine Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot. Popularity dwindled after Pierre Balmain's death in 1982, and in what forced to file for bankruptcy in 2003, and was revived by investors in 2005. And I am so happy it did. Today, the house is known for its edgy and modern look, and has found popularity on runways, celebrities and in fashion magazines around the world. Fans of the label include Kate Winslet, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Sofia Coppola and Audrey Tautou. Since 2009 the fashion house works with the french lead designer Olivier Rousteing who created all this amazing pieces. Before he started working for Balmain in 2009 he was actually working for Roberto Cavalli, where he was creating the ready-to-wear collections for women´s and men´s wear. Guess it was good he left, or otherwise we would probably never see these amazing detailed creations of this very talented young designer. Come join me on a trip to the runway of this amazing fashion house. I guess I have to find me some diamond patterned pants for next season, cause I really like the chic look of this print. Let me know in the comment section what you think about it :-)

The playful collection Dolce & Gabbana sent down at their Milan Fashion Week runway show for the spring/summer 2013 season offered a large range of colors and patterns which were also included in the handbag collection. The woven and knitted details of the handbags from the Dolce & Gabbana Collection Spring/Summer 2013 are just amazing. The use of colourful details and sicilian baroque prints really complement the runway collection. Imposing rose and cherub prints were combined with tiaras, veils and elaborate jewelry. Take a trip with me to the italian handbag heaven of these two amazing designers. Would you rock one of these handbags or maybe more? I know I would ! Let me know in the comment section what you think about these gorgeous handbags.

Who doesn´t have a crush on specific fashion designer´s ? Two of mine are Dolce & Gabbana. They are some of the absolute trendsetters in this fashion industry.
The two Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana met in 1980 in Milano working for a fashion house and established a designer consulting studio in 1982, which which grew into the brand Dolce & Gabbana.
They started their own brand officially in 1985 with a collection released at Milano Fashion Week that was inspired by italian actresses such as Sophia Loren.
What fascinates me about these two designers is that they have such an extraordinary taste in fashion and deliver constantly with each of their collections such a huge inspiration for the fashion industry. Their collections are always inspired by the "All-Italian-Woman" and exist from very wearable pieces.
The new Spring/Summer 2013 collection which they just presented at the Italian Fashion Week in Milano is yet another huge success and will definitely be a trendsetting collection for next year again. The colourful prints which remind of zinc soldiers and the baroque time once again, also have a italian vacation flair. Now come with me to the 2nd journey of our Italy trip as promised and enjoy the full collection in beautiful pictures ;-)
Feel free to let me know in the comment section what you like or don´t like about this collection/trend.
Vacation feeling with strong prints and calm stripes from Italy
Dolce & Gabbana have certainly a lot of spirit. While some find their so striking prints wonderful, others just shake their head and dub everything as cluttered and tacky.
The Spring / Summer 2013 collection has now been shown at the Milan Fashion Week and surprised with less sex appeal but with calmer creations that could plunge the audience into a holiday in Sicily.
Take a glimpse at the Dolce & Gabbana Runway Show for Spring/Summer 2013 in the runway video.
Heavily decorated with prints like you can see in puppet theaters in whole looks from head to toe, kaleidoscopic patterns were alternated with clothes that were strongly reminiscent of coffee bags. In addition there were also more typical creations for the label in black semi-transparent, which could shine through a little underwear, especially surprising were quite restrained pieces with wide colorful stripes.
These adorned dresses with A-line shapes and various decollete necklines brought a modern and fresh touch to the collection.
I will be posting detailed pictures of the whole runway show and details shortly. In the meanwhile enjoy the video and take a trip with me to Italy :-) Feel free to share your thoughts about this collection with me in the comment section.

An industry leader in casual luxury handbags, accessories, and apparel, Rebecca Minkoff’s playful and subtly edgy designs can be spotted on girls everywhere from downtown to uptown, in the US and abroad. Born in San Diego, CA, Rebecca grew up designing and sewing clothing. Her passion for fashion and design prompted her to move to New York after high school graduation and pursue a career as a designer.
Rebecca launched a five-piece apparel line in 2001. Her first taste at success came when an “I love New York” t-shirt Rebecca designed, made it onto Jay Leno and into US Weekly. Requests for the patriotic T-shirt flooded in. Rebecca spent the next few years sewing "I Love New York" shirts on the floor of her New York apartment.
Honestly I think H&M should start paying me for free advertisement :-) I can´t help myself, but most times I really like their campaigns and products. Now they have launched a collection with Lana Del Rey as their campaign face!

Hey Dolls !
Anna dello Russo is the editor-at-large and fashion director of Vogue Japan and an absolute fashion guru. As you all probably know already, there will be a collaboration between her and H&M for a vintage inspired accessories collection on 4th October 2012 available at selected H&M stores and online. It´s the first time das H&M collaborates with a "non"-designer, but they hey they got the fashion queen Anna dello Russo :-) I personally like her, because she doesn´t obey any rules in fashion and has her own style! Though I am a total vintage fan, I am very happy about the articles in this collection. I will probably not buy all of them, but I wish to get a few of this pieces. Below is a preview of the articles with prices in Euro, which pieces would you like to get and what do you think about this collection?
